Just dropping by to pass on some good news: My leg’s still on. Bad news: The doctor couldn’t find the bone chip he cut into me for, owing to “turbulence” in the knee, as though he were forced to encounter it at 35,000 feet. Good news: Percoset! Bad news: Swelling and exhaustion are rampant. Good news: Percoset!
I would write more, but I had to go both up and down the hallway to the bathroom today, which means it’s time to turn in.

Couldn’t find the chip? Oh no, does that mean you have to go through this again? Hope the knee feels better soon!

Hm. “Turbulence.” What an interesting word.
So please tell me this doesn’t mean more surgery in the future? For your sake.
And Percoset, much better than codeine. Although I wouldn’t be able to type with it in my system.

I feel for you, I really do. I just had my ACL replaced about a month ago. The light at the end of this tunnel is only a week or so away, at which point you should be able to walk again like a big girl. Keep your chin up.

Feel better. I am glad the pain meds are working. I have a secret stash if they cut you off.

How big is your knee that they couldn’t find this chip?
Reminds me of the kids I live with, who look for stuff by focusing their gaze on one spot of the floor, and if it’s not there they say “I can’t find it.”
